It displays a lot of the lighter colored matrix with brilliant streaks of opalized material running through--pinks, violets, aquas.... I set it in 22k gold on a base of 22k gold/silver bimetal*. Along the lower edge is a lush fringe of stones--turquoise, pink and brown tourmaline, amethyst, tanzanite and tsavorite garnet. They are wrapped on 14k gold headpins. The simple band is argentium sterling silver for tarnish resistance and measures a size 7 3/4.   *Bimetal features a layer of high-karat 22-karat yellow gold pressure-bonded to a layer of bright Argentium® Silver. The gold constitutes a full 10% of the overall weight and the Argentium constitutes the remaining 90%. The front of the piece shows the gold layer and the back is silver.
