Cleo Baldon California Modernist Dining table for Terra, 1960s

This California modernist dining table was designed by Cleo Baldon for Terra in the 1960's. The octagon shaped oak base has suede straps that wrap around where the iron legs are attached, protecting both the oak base and the floor. A rare and stupendous dining table by Cleo Baldon for Terra Furniture, circa 1960s, executed in thick quarter sawn oak and wrought iron. The heavy duty quarter sawn oak top features an ultra thick lacquer, giving the wood grain a super stripey appearance, similar to Rosewood (this is the original finish of the piece). The impressively crafted, solid iron pedestal connects to a solid oak octagon base with suede straps that wrap around where the iron legs are attached. Really wild construction! Wonderful hand tooled hardware to the underside! Dimensions: 48"W x 48"D x 26"HCondition Notes: This table is in its original condition with light cosmetic wear throughout. The super thick lacquer top shows some spiderweb crackling, but it it smooth to the touch and hon
