Jade Needles, Spring 2020

This green tea is harvested in the springtime from northern China and is an all-bud pick. During the processing, this high-mountain (~1000m elevation) green tea undergoes a gentle pan roast, which accentuates the nutty, toasty notes in the tea without disrupting the perfect balance of umami, floral, vegetal, and bitter characteristics. This is an exceptional example of a perfectly balanced green tea in my opinion!
