ECM Mechanika Slim PID Overview ECM’s Mechanika Slim PID is a compact heat exchanger espresso machine whose narrow build belies the sizable 1.9L stainless steel boiler housed within. As its name suggests, boiler temperature is controlled by a PID switch that can be used to select between one of three preset temperatures. For even greater precision and ease of use, ECM has added an LED screen which functions as a shot timer when the brew lever is engaged. Features and Performance In spite of its size, the Mechanika Slim PID is a heat exchanger espresso machine and is fully capable of brewing espresso and frothing milk simultaneously. The PID switch plays a part both in temperature regulation and selection and is used to enable other functions such as eco mode and pre-infusion.
