Riddle Wines Counoise El Dorado AVA 2021 Riddle Wines was born because I wanted to make wine that is the purest form of what the vineyard, harvest and climate created. Cutting out any additions or heavy-handed winemaking methods is the best way I know how to do it. I work with vineyard owners who put their passion and knowledge into the vines and don’t use any herbicides or pesticides (Organic and Regenerative practices). I also farm 3 vineyards regeneratively in Sonoma. Farming: Organic/Mendocino AVA/Eagle Point Ranch Style: Counoise Red Wine/unfined and unfiltered Additions: Native yeast/18ppm sulfur before bottling Tasting Notes: Nose of lavender and fresh pomegranates with bright fruits on the palate with a cracked peppery finish Aging: 13 months neutral oak/sur lees/sans sulfur Production: 1487 Bottles Numbers: 3.58 pH, 13.5% ABV
