Gentle fragrant rose, quite pale in colour, a hint of strawberry, fired brick and earth flavours. Leather and roses, with a lovely sappiness to the palate and nice bit of grip - cocoa dusted tannins, fine spice, and a crack of bracken. The best producers are those that handle the grapes gently, which in turn expresses the magic of the terroir and shows Nebbiolo at its almost Pinot Noir-like best. The colour is quite pale, like many Barolo and Barbaresco.Distinctly Italian and utterly charming.
