Intense ruby ‹‹red color with purple hues, in older vintages the hues tend towards garnet.Intense and enveloping on the nose with notes of red bramble fruits, hints of tobacco, leather and liquorice.On the palate it is dry, robust and persistent with a refined tannic charge. Pairs particularly well with meat based dishes, including wild game. Also a delightful accompaniment to well aged cheese and cured meats.
