The deep, dark, black-ruby color is virtually opaque, though the color seems a little developed. The palate combines fair freshness with a fine, grainy tannic structure. The mid-palate is initially cocoa-like with plenty of drying grip. Alcohol adds warmth & roundness. it also accentuates the drying cedar notes. The wine is ripe and generous but needs time for the oak to better settle & integrate
