(91-93) pts VinousDrinking Window: 2027 – 2047The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Roncière 1er Cru (one of Etienne Grivot's favorites from this appellation) showed a little reduction on the nose. However, it is nicely detailed: more black than red fruit with pressed violets gradually emerging, lending it a Vosne-like allure. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and good backbone. It becomes peppery towards the second half, with a lilting nonchalance on the finish. It doesn't want to grab the limelight; this is a discrete and very pleasurable Roncières in the making.(91-94) Jasper MorrisMedium crimson ruby in colour. A very fine perfumed nose, with a blacker note on top of the red fruit, the touch of garrigue for which Roncières is noted, a saline touch also behind the red fruit, with some orange zest.
