A pronounced nose and muscular palate is chiseled, with fine, rounded edges. A deep core density of fruit and florality, a firm streak of saline minerality and a floral lime skin note that is really attractive. Medium bodied, with med+ acidity, a dense, deep palate intensity, with a long, saline and orchard and citrus fruit finish. Blanchot stretches over 12.7 hectares, on the east of the Grand Cru appellation. This complex terroir is known for being difficult to work. Because it faces east and southeast, its sun exposure is somewhat limited. Despite only benefitting from the morning sun before it disappears, Blanchot remains, paradoxically, a warm terroir.
