Domaine Hubert Bouzereau-Gruere et Filles Genevrieres 2022

From one of Meursault’s most celebrated Premier Cru sites, the 2022 Genevrières from Bouzereau-Gruère is a masterclass in refinement and terroir expression. The Genevrières climat lies just south of the village, mid-slope on the famed Côte des Blancs. Soils here are a mosaic of fine clay and marly limestone with excellent drainage, encouraging deep root systems and naturally low yields. The site’s gentle east-southeast exposure bathes the vines in morning light, preserving freshness while promoting slow, even ripening—a key to the vineyard’s hallmark finesse and aromatic lift. Bouzereau-Gruère farms these old Chardonnay vines with meticulous care, following lutte raisonnée principles to limit chemical inputs and encourage biodiversity in the vineyard. Harvest is done entirely by hand at optimal maturity to ensure pristine fruit quality. In the cellar, the must undergoes a gentle pressing before a slow, natural fermentation in French oak barrels, including a proportion of new wood (arou
