Week 5  Battle Bots: Robot Showdown Introduce your child to the world of building and programming basic robots using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Education EV3 sets. Through this program, participants will use mathematical concepts and engineering principles to brainstorm, plan, test, and modify sequences of instructions to accomplish a specific task. They will learn to build and program a battle bot. For the tournament-style battle, teams will battle each other in robot sumo match. Children do not get to take home any LEGO® projects. No computer or robotics experience required to join! Friday, 9am - 3pm: Sand Point Preserve - http://sandspointpreserveconservancy.org Daily Schedule  9:00 - 10:30 AM – ELA Power Hour (Small Group Tutoring – 1:6)  10:30 - 12:00 PM – Math Masters (Small Group Tutoring – 1:6) 12:00 - 1:00 PM – Lunch Break  1:00 - 3:00 PM – Theme Time (Weekly STEM Activity) 3:00 - 6:00 PM –Afternoon Adventures: Games, Sports, & Creativity!
