Handmade Mosaic Lamp

For centuries, mosaics have captivated us with their vibrant colors and unique designs. Traditionally crafted from carefully arranged colored glass tiles, mosaics offer a striking blend of art and decoration. Mosaics have played a significant role in the art history of numerous cultures worldwide. The earliest mosaics, discovered in a Mesopotamian temple from the 3rd millennium BC, were composed of ivory, seashells, and stones. These abstract designs laid the foundation for the intricate mosaics later crafted in Ancient Greece and the Roman Empire. Our lamps are handmade in Istanbul, Turkey, by skilled artisans, most of whom are housewives. We source the glass and globes from trusted suppliers, then transform them into stunning mosaic lamps. Large glass pieces are meticulously hand-cut into smaller mosaic pieces, which are then carefully glued onto the globes one by one. We use glass mosaic tiles and beads to create each lamp, making each piece truly unique, with its own story to tell
