Limoges T&V Hand Painted Porcelain Plaque

Tressemann & Vogt is one of the better known porcelain makers from the Limoges France area at the turn of the last century.  This framed tile depicts a well-to-do couple dressed in the style of about 1915 out for a sail. Very reminiscent of the per-depression era extravagance of the time. The tile itself measures approximately 7 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches and the artwork is initialed in the lower right "M.L."
