2019 CrossBarn by Paul Hobbs Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, USA (750ml)
WINEMAKER NOTES: Sourced from prime sites in Alexander Valley and Moon Mountain District, this garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon beautifully encapsulates the breadth of Sonoma County with aromas of forest fruits, dark chocolate shavings, and a hint of dried herbs. Plush red fruits burst on the palate with a touch of cassis, supported by fine-grained tannins, balanced acidity, and a lingering finish. Blend: 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc TASTING NOTES: Blueberries, purple fruit and lavender. Crushed stones and raspberries, too. Medium-bodied and so fresh and vivid, with creamy tannins and a really long finish. Touch of vanilla. Just delicious. - James Suckling, 94 pts. The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is packed with juicy dark berry fruit, mocha, chocolate and spice. This supple, racy Cabernet is another terrific wine from Crossbarn. The Napa Cabernet is quite a bit more plush and opulent than the Sonoma bottling, but both are terrific. Best After 2021.
