"Slim To None is one of the many projects of Ypsilanti musician and visual artist Craig Johnson, a multi-instrumentalist whose creative output never stays in one place too long. While Johnson is involved in multiple bands (Modern Lady Fitness, Goodyhead), and even has other solo projects, Slim To None is where his talents as a songwriter come to life in a weird world of lo-fi bedroom production. The entire album was recorded to cassette four-track over the course of a single month, with Johnson playing all of the instruments and handling all vocal duties. The songs of Be The Sun are melodic, guitar-driven, and full of uncommon hooks.
