My First Cable Sweater Class

Saturdays, beginning September 6, 10 - noon OR Thursday Evenings beginning September 11, 5-7pm Welcome to the wonderful world of cables.  Impress your friends and family, and even yourself, with the beautiful cabled sweater designed by Joji Locatelli, Lemongrass.   Lemongrass is a simple poncho-style sweater that features a cable worked down the center front.  It is knit from the top down with raglan sleeves, a turtle neck, and open sides that button down to a curved ribbed edge on the front and back.  It comes in 7 sizes from XS to XXXL, and has about 8 inches of positive ease.   The yarn required is an aran or bulky weight knit with size 10 (6mm) circular needles.   Knitters will learn and practice several skills in this class including raglan sleeves, creating cables, picking up stitches for the ribbing bands and neck (turtle neck is optional), buttonholes, splitting for sleeves and back, picking up for back and sleeves, and making increase and decreas
