Growing up with parents from Indonesia and Vietnam, the happy moments in my childhood were colored with the joyous sensation of biting into the soft, pillowy pandan chiffon cakes my mom would bake or a pandan honeycomb cake we’d get as an add-on from the banh mi shop. When pondering a new scent to add to Yuzu Leaf’s collection, I wanted to acknowledge this part of my identity while also giving it a fun twist. I love trying new drink flavor combinations, and when I tried a pandan matcha latte, I thought it was so delicious. With our Pandan Matcha scent, I tried to emulate the gourmand quality of a pandan dessert, rounded out with the fresh earthiness of a matcha latte.
