Bai Ya Qi Lan oolong tea offers an aroma that's as light and fragrant as a flower garden. The buttery mouthfeel and creamy body lead to a flavor that blends notes of Tiequanyin and Jin Xuan. Savor the subtle vegetal hints, and a sweet aftertaste that lingers. Plus, the flavor develops with each cup - perfect for a gong fu session! South Fujian produces many tea cultivars for oolong tea, the most famous is Tieguanyin. However, it would be a shame to overlook other great teas from the area. Another famous tea cultivar is Bai Ya Qi Lan which is widely planted in the tea gardens of Daqinshan area in Pinghe County. One translation of the name is Strange Orchid, which was perhaps given for the distinctive floral aroma.
