This lamp can be repaired tool-free by the user, plug connections allow the lamp head or transformer to be replaced by hand, which significantly extends the lifespan of the lamp. PRODUCTION PROCESSThis lamp is 100% hand made with original 1920's tooling in Germany. The shade is spun from aluminum and the stem is polished nickel plated steel, hand formed by furniture maker Thonet. The ceramic bulb housings and on / off switches are new old stock found in the original factory. All parts are hand assembled into each light in Germany. DETAILS & DIMENSIONS- Materials: Black steel and fiberglass stem, steel base, black ABS plastic shade. Fabric covered cord. All steel and ABS plastic used in production is recycled and recyclable.
