Antique Letter "A" Letterpress Type in Sterling Silver Ring- Size 6.5
Letterpress printing was the primary method of mass-production printing throughout the late 1800s to early 1900s, though its original history dates back to 1040 AD with the use of ceramic type in China. Letterpress uses raised characters coated in ink pressed onto paper to create an impression. While searching for the perfect antique letterpress type drawer to utilize in our studio to hold our jewelry materials, we found a Hamilton drawer in great condition. Hamilton Press was one of the largest letterpress printing companies in North American during the beginning of the 20th century. After installing our new drawer in the studio, we found this curious little letter "A" type wedged between two of the slots. After a little cleaning and foraging of sterling silver, we created an adorable little homage to the history of this craft, perfectly suited for someone with a special little "A" in their life. This antique ring's setting is made of 100% sterling silver and is a size 6.5. After
