We're always incredibly drawn to irregular shapes and patterns when sourcing new (yet old) materials for our jewelry, in the same way other's are drawn to them when you walk into a room wearing it. It creates intrigue and curiosity which leads to sharing stories about its origin and relation to you. This design is no exception from conjuring that "what is that and WHERE did you get it?" type of attention. A 1970's gold-tone stretch-band belt's clasp has been salvaged and reworked into this highly unique ring design. It rests between a hand-made pure sterling silver setting, creating a beautiful mixed-metal look and measures a size 7. After each artifact or specimen has been discovered it is sent through a careful restoration process before being used in a design. If a particularly unique patina is found to add design value to an artifact, it is preserved and/or sealed to ensure its longevity and protection.
