VINTAGE: 2022 WINE TYPE: White VARIETAL: Pinot Gris  COUNTRY: South Africa REGION: Stellenbosch APPELLATION: Polkadraai Hills  SIZE: 750ml Husband and wife team; Mick and Jeanine Craven have been making wine together in Stellenbosch since 2011.They have a very low intervention approach  and work with local growers for their fruit. They also work with grapes not as commonly produced in Stellenbosch... Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Cinsault. They both studied winemaking at university and actually met working a harvest in Sonoma. Aromas and flavors of strawberry, cherry and herb with stony minerality. The mouth feel has some grip which only supports the savory character of this contact wine.
