Craven Wines Cinsault

VINTAGE: 2022 WINE TYPE: Red VARIETAL: Cinsault  COUNTRY: South Africa REGION: Stellenbosch APPELLATION: Faure  SIZE: 750ml Husband and wife team; Mick and Jeanine Craven have been making wine together in Stellenbosch since 2011. They have a very low intervention approach  and work with local growers for their fruit. They also work with grapes not as commonly produced in Stellenbosch... Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Cinsault. They both studied winemaking at university and actually met working a harvest in Sonoma. Aromas of delicate cranberry, pomegranate, a touch of rhubarb and bay leaf. Flavors that follow are red berries, black currants, rooibos tea and a hint of white pepper.
