Clinical Application of High Intensity Gait Training Post-stroke
Webinar Title & Description: Clinical Application of High Intensity Gait Training Post-Stroke: Demonstrating Skilled Intervention and Maximizing Outcomes - There is a large body of evidence in support of high-intensity gait training in order to recover or improve ambulation for individuals post-stroke. This course will discuss the relevant principles and evidence for neuroplasticity, review the biomechanical subcomponents of gait and instruct on how to grade the challenge of the task utilizing those subcomponents. Participants will learn to incorporate motor learning principles within high intensity gait training for justification of skilled intervention. Finally, clinicians will enhance their confidence for providing high intensity gait training interventions based on available resources within the clinic to maximize patient outcomes. Instructor: Samantha Pietrzak, PT, DPT, NCS Learner Outcomes: Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to: Recall the key princ
