The identification and diagnosis of cerebral palsy is important so that treatment is initiated early and to encourage families to become active participants in a life-long process of rehabilitation. In addition, there are increasing numbers of interventions that impact neuroplasticity. Providing interventions at a younger age have the potential to impact outcomes for the child, the parents and ultimately the adult with cerebral palsy.
