​Transcending space and time: Ink Painting Lab led by Huiqi In-person, 7pm - 9pm, ET Every Tuesday, November 26 - February 18 89 5th Ave 702, Union Square, NY ​Ink painting holds an ever-dissolving mirage, where soul and form intertwine with reality and illusion. Shades and tones are blended between dry and wet, light and shadow. Either meticulous or expressive, its brushstrokes create the bones, flesh, and soul, as phantoms, as peaks, as wind. Imagery twists and turns, the cosmos inverts, leaving space unfilled, with resonant echoes lingering endlessly. ​In the short days of winter, at dusk, the Ink Painting Lab opens to explore the folded dimensions beneath the paper and brush with artist Huiqi. Introductory courses revisit major Chinese dynasties, shaping figures, landscapes, and flora. Advanced courses examine Zen and Buddhist philosophies, casting ink upon folk arts.
