
Solid Dish Soap
Solid Dish Soap FINALLY! I've made some solid dish soap that I enjoy! This is one of my first two soaps that are aimed at more sustainable living and creating. I knew that there have been recipes-of-old that made solid soaps for dishwashing, but I had the impression that they were very much "of their time" and not really feasible with today's "better" options. This solid dish soap formula is designed to make sure that hard water spots after laboriously handwashing dishes are a thing of the past. The high percentage of coconut oil, when turned into soap, is a wonderful lathering and cleansing soap (versus other oils that have more gentle effects on skin). As a bonus, I only use organic coconut oil! The next ingredient in here is soy wax, which sounds odd to have a wax in soap that's supposed to be able to clean. This particular wax has an excellent complimentary combination of fatty acids to coconut oil's fatty acids that results in a wonderful, fluffy, highly cleansing soap. Exactly w
