Domaine Boissonnet, Serrieres - Northern Rhone Producer: Domaine Boissonnet Wine: 2016 IGP Ardeche Varietals: 100% Syrah Nose: Vibrant aromas of dark fruit (plum, black currant, blueberries) accented by hints of violent, lavender and spice (sweet paprika, crushed white pepper). Palate: Nice balance of fresh dark fruits with meaty undertones, hints of black olives and cocoa powder from well integrated oak.  The finish offers smooth tannins with concentrated acidity for outstanding balance.  Food:  Portobello mushroom burger, miso-roasted eggplant with tomatoes, Ratatouille, BBQ space ribs, Gouda cheese and duck.  Cellaring: Drink now  or through 2023
