"Cabinho Poços" is the oldest tree in Vilela's renowned Plinia collection. Originating from Poços de Caldas, this location holds historical significance as the type locality of Plinia trunciflora, where the holotype was first collected by the Swedish botanist Anders Fredrik Regnell in the 19th century. This exceptional tree produces large, black fruits with an intensely sweet flavor, making it a valuable representative of P. trunciflora and an important piece of botanical history.
