Introduction to Tubing

Prerequisites: NoneInstructor: Kevin LeopoldLearn to shape hollow tubing in this 4 night beginner Boro blowing class. We will cover tubing prep, blow tubes, and work on gathering and shaping. Color application techniques will include the wrap and rake as well as gold and silver fumed line work. The main shaping focus will be vases, from a flattened dimpled bottom to a clean lip hot cut with scissors.With this foundation course you will be qualified to take other borosilicate classes, rent time in our studio, and begin to work independently. No prior experience necessary.
