A small but heavy set of cast-iron bookends with a very exhausted native American on his horse carrying his shield and lance. The design has an Art Deco feel to it. The molded design is crisply detailed. The background has a swirling design with branches above and to the sides. The base is flat and is without felt. The back has a stippled pattern.  The bookends are unmarked. MEASUREMENTS 3 7/8” (9.8 cm) wide x 3 7/8” (9.8 cm) tall x 1 5/8” (4.1 cm) deep. Weighs 1 lb 15.1 oz (885 g) CONDITION There are no breaks, cracks, or dents. The gold finish is worn and remains mostly only in the background. The bases have no felt. An almost Art Deco set of bookends with a native American theme that are heavy and useful.
