A heavy, useful pair of sailing ship bookends that are riding the waves with all sails out.   The iron bookends are heavy and deeply cast with a dark patina highlighted by gilding.   They have old worn green felts on the bases. The word VERONA is molded into the back of both bookends.   MEASUREMENTS   Taller ship - 4 ¾” wide x 2” deep x 5 ¼” tall. Shorter ship - 4 ¾” wide x 2” deep x 4 ¾” tall. Total weight 4 lbs 1.8 oz (1875 g)   CONDITION   The one bookend has lost both of its pennants on the masts. Both show patina loss in spots from age and use.    A heavy pair of old bookends to hold those books up in your library. They have a nice, aged look.
