A hand painted antique bronze in the style of Franz Xaver Bergman studio in Vienna.   The cast bronze is in the shape of an Arab musician playing a mandolin under an oriental carpet awning. The detail is deep, intricate and then cold painted. The base is indented and has a slot screw to hold the musician figure. Inside the tent, under the roof, is an old porcelain light socket with an old cord. The socket fits a bulb with a small base. The cord was cut and would need to be rewired to use as a lamp. Otherwise, it will still be a striking sculpture.   The piece has no hallmark or labels.   MEASUREMENTS   6 ¼” (15.9 cm) long x 4 1/8” (10.5 cm) deep x 9 ¾” (24.8 cm) tall. Weighs 3 lbs 13.2 oz (1740 g)   CONDITION   The cord has been cut and so the lamp does not currently work as a lamp. There is flaking and loss of the cold paint throughout.
