Ajuga reptans 'Catlin's Giant' Commonly known as bugleweed, this small spreading groundcover creates compact coverage when planted close together. 'Catlin's Giant' features bronze-green foliage and is accompanied by beautiful lace-like blue flowers up to 8" tall. The leaves present as a spreading rosette that can carpet your flower bed up to 3 feet wide over time. Expect blooms in spring (April - May). Plant Ajuga in full sun to part shade locations with average, well drained garden soil. Will grow in full shade, but best foliage color usually occurs in part-sun locations. Plants should be spaced out up to 12" apart due to their quick growth spread.   Works well along borders, around shrubs or in containers.
