
Calathea 'Medallion'
Calathea roseopicta 'Medallion' is commonly called the 'rose painted prayer plant,' and is noted for its mauve, white and purple on its large green leaves. Calathea are native to the tropics, most notably Brazil, and in those cultures, the leaves of calathea are commonly used for wrapping gifts and/or food. The genus of calathea is also commonly known as 'prayer plants,' due to the daily movement of the leaves. Calathea 'Medallion' will do best with medium levels of lights and watering about once per week. Keep the room temperature between 65 and 85 degrees for best results.
