Calathea ornata

Calathea 'ornata' is commonly called the Pinstripe Plant, and is noted for its small pink stripes on its large green leaves. Calathea are native to the tropics, most notably Brazil, and in those cultures, the leaves of calathea are commonly used for wrapping gifts and/or food. The genus of calathea is also commonly known as 'prayer plants,' due to the daily movement of the leaves. Calathea 'ornata' will do best with medium levels of lights and watering about once per week.
