Heliopsis 'Bleeding Hearts'

Heliopsis helianthoides var. scabra 'Bleeding Hearts' A Fall must-have! 'Bleeding Hearts' is a tall, upright, clumping plant with purple-tinted foliage and black stems topped by rusty-red blossoms. Stems mature to mango orange then autumnal orange-daisy-like blooms. Heliopsis 'Bleeding Hearts'  is a long bloomer, flowering from midsummer to midfall.  Commonly known as Smooth Ox-Eye Daisy, this plant prefers sun and moderately fertile, well-drained soil. It will tolerate light shade, but flowers best in full sun. An ideal selection for the back of the garden border, and a cut flower favorite. Very attractive to nectar seekers. Arrives to you in a one-gallon pot, as shown in photo 5.
