Solidago 'Fireworks'

Solidago rugosa 'Fireworks' Commonly known as Rough Goldenrod, this native plant features stiff lateral branches that are covered in bright yellow flowers cascading like fireworks. Expect blooms in late summer into fall. Plant in full sun with average garden soil. This no-fuss perennial tolerates clay and wet soils just fine. Attractive to many different pollinators, especially bees and butterflies. Recipient of the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.  Perfect to plant in mixed borders to get that wildflower, cottage garden look. A great source of color and texture in the garden, 'Fireworks' generally spreads less than other Solidago varieties. Companion plants include Sedum, Perovskia, Panicum and Pennisetum Arrives to you in a gallon-sized pot.
