1551 PCGS VF Edward VI Shilling Britain Hammered Boy King Silver Coin (25070601D)

Very Fine England Great Britain Edward VI hammered silver shilling or 12 pence coin. Spink S-2482, approx 33mm. The "Boy King" son of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour, ascended the throne at age 9 and ruled only six years. Variety with mint mark y (approx 12:00 obverse and reverse) denoting struck 1551. Well struck and centered. Certified by PCGS to VF Details Graffiti (well blended and not significantly distracting).  Obverse: Crowned facing bust of Edward with Tudor rose to left and denomination XII to right, EDWARD VI D G AGL FRA Z HIB REX (Edward VI by the grace of God King of England France & Ireland). Reverse: Long cross fourchee over royal shield, POSVI DEVM ADIVTORE MEV (I have made God my helper).
