Choice Fine dated Roman Egypt Alexandria Emperor Marcus Aurelius tetradrachm coin. Dated to his 5th regnal year, denoted by Greek letter E = 164/165 CE. Obverse: Laurate head of the emperor facing right. Reverse: Clasped hands, above OMONOIA, below date letters L E. Emmett 2063/5, 10.18g. NGC Certified to Ch F. Dark toned brown patina. This reverse type only used for Marcus Aurelius and his co-Emperor Lucius Verus in their year 5 = 164/165 CE. The clasped hands likely represent the cooperation and harmony between the two Emperors. Homonoia is the concept of order and unity, being of one mind together or union of hearts.
