Advanced Workshop: Design & glaze your own 6" tile - Drawing with wax (Select Wednesdays at 10am)

2.5 Hour Experience: Glaze your own 6" ceramic tile trivet.Studio C: 730 S. Stone Avenue, Tucson, Arizona This instructor-led workshop is great for intermediate to advanced artists. Everyone is welcome, but we recommend some art experience as you'll be designing and sketching your own image on a tile. You are encouraged to bring your own sketch or design ideas to this workshop. You will walk step by step through creating tile art using the cuerda seca "dry cord" style, where wax outlines create a barrier between glaze colors. In this workshop, you will bring your own design idea and draw it onto a tile using a wax resist, and then glaze the design in your choice of color palette. All materials are provided. The instructor will kiln fire your tile after the workshop. It will be given a cork backing, and it will be available for pickup or shipping in one week after the workshop. If you want to glaze more than one tile, additional tiles will be available for add-on purchase at the studio.
