When I was a child my grandparents has a pomegranate tree in their backyard. My mother and grandmother made jelly from the fruit and I loved it, I can remember being disappointed that pomegranate jelly was not in the store or in the kitchens of any of my friends. These days, as an artist, I am mostly drawn to the beauty of this fruit with its lumpy, bumpy skin and beautiful sheen.  This hand-pulled polymer photogravure print is made with Gamblinbone black and sepia ink, with a bit of  Charbonnel sanguine ink on Hahnemühle copperplate paper.  I decided on a chine collé with Awagami Kitakata.  and an edition of 9 numbered prints and 2 A/P prints.    Hand made by Ray Bidegain Limited edition of 9 chine collé 8.0 x 8.0 on an 11x15 sheet. Signed numbered and dated by the artist on the lower front.
