NRA Basic Pistol w/Certified State of Texas DPS License to Carry a Handgun Class (LTC). Saturday, September 20 , 2025 @ 9:00 a.m.

Texas License to Carry a Handgun (LTC) class (formerly known as CHL) to include NRA Basic Pistol. This class is for beginning to intermediate shooters.  It consists of six to seven (6-7) hours of class time and one (1-2) hour range time with a Military Veteran that is a Texas DPS and NRA Certified License to Carry a Handgun Instructor.  This class teaches general firearm basics such as the various calibers to firing mechanics along with basic and defensive shooting skills, and responding to a violent confrontation, and how to choose a handgun for self-defense.  You will learn about the proper safety and use of a firearm, ways to obtain non-violent dispute resolution, proper gun storage, conceal and open carry laws, the new permitless "constitutional" carry laws and more.  All classroom materials are provided.   You do not need to own a handgun for this class.  You will need a .22 or larger handgun and no laser or modified sights along with 50 rounds of ammunition to qualify for the ran
