  USDA Cold Hardiness Zone: 6 Native Range: Atlas mountains of north Africa. Soil: Moist to dryish, well drained, neutral to acidic. Light: Full sun. Height in the Garden: Up to 100' after many decades maybe even a century. Attributes: True cedar with glaucous foliage, needle leaf conifer with long and short shoots. The short shoots are what give this tree's branches a padded look in the landscape and in bonsai culture. Loong shoots are what entend apical and lateral stems.  Notes: My seedlings take on a blue-green appearance when they are grown out and are healthy. They look fantastic once grown out. Uses: Bonsai and specimen tree.
