Opuntia polyacantha 'Tim Hannis'

Shared with us by the plantsman of the same name, this selection from a vast area of hybrid swarms in SE Utah has a tight clumping habit to only about 6-8" in height, 18" or so wide in a few years. Grey-green pads tipped with golden to brown spines and yellow darker centered flowers, usually mid to late spring. The texture and color of the pads are the most striking aspect.
