Java Papatong (Washed)

Like the Papatong (dragonflies) after which this offering is named, coffee production is an integral and inescapable  part of the landscape of West Java. This selection is a blend of lots from two producers located in neighboring areas outside Bandung. Pak Sudarman, from Garut, is the leader of the 40-member Kelompok Tani Gunung Kamojang producer group, while Elza Francisca operates a small family farm in Cibeber. Both farmers produce fully washed-process lots that combine for an impressive representation of high quality coffees from Java. In the cup, look for complex notes of passion fruit, butterscotch, and black tea.
