
1930s Plum Devoré Velvet and Chiffon Gown | M
vintage late 1930s exquisitely soft and flowing silk/rayon devoré velvet with swirling two-tone Art Deco design, and wide front panel in semi-sheer silk crinkle chiffon. the bodice with deep-cut surplice neckline and split flutter sleeves, the skirt gathered at front and back, with slight high-low hem. no closures, pulls over head. no slip included. unlabeled. sizing: medium-medium/large bust: 40"waist: 34" (cinch with a belt if desired)hip: relatively free, but I recommend 42" or less for best fitbodice length: 17"skirt length: 38-45" very good/excellent condition. sturdy clean and quite wearable. presents beautifully. some streaky fade on chiffon panel can be seen on close inspection, when fabric is extended (fade lines correspond with fabric drape), as well as a few faint marks and tiny pinholes in chiffon, very minor and not problematic. clean V-shaped mend in lower back skirt blends very well into the velvet. __________________ review sizing and condition charts reviewing shipping
