The Cherry Laurel Hedge (Prunus Caroliniana) is an attractive dense pyramidal in shape broadleaf shrub/hedge or tree with glossy, medium-green foliage. Produces fragrant white flowers in early spring. Cherry laurels are evergreen and can be planted just about anywhere.  Uses: Hedge, shrubs, accent plant, privacy screen, responds to pruning very well.  Also known as: Carolina Cherry-laurel, Cherry-laurel, Laurel Cherry, Carolina Laurel Cherry Planting: Plant in full sun to partial shade, in well drained moist soil. Laurel is very adaptable and will thrive in sandy soils, clay soils, alkaline and acidic soils. Laurels will thrive equally in sun or shade.  Watering: For the first week or two after planting, water your laurel every day, then gradually reduce to once a week or every 10 days.
