Large Wenge/Purpleheart/Maple Cutting Board

The is a new pattern of cutting board that I am very excited about. The outer piece is a dark exotic wood called Wenge, bordered by a naturally occurring purple wood named Purpleheart. The lighter colored wood is domestic Maple. The contrast of the woods allows each color to be showcased. The dimensions are 18" x 11" and 1-1/8" thick. There are rubber feet on the bottom to keep the piece from sliding on a counter top or table. This board may be used as a cutting board or a serving piece for cheese, bread, or any type of food. It is finished with several coats of hand rubbed mineral oil and then finished with a coating of lemon scented mineral oil with beeswax. A bottle of mineral oil is included to apply to the board when the wood appears dry from use.
